Tara Karajica is a Belgrade-based film critic, journalist and programmer. Her writings have
appeared in Variety, Indiewire, Screen International, Little White Lies, Business Doc Europe,
and Film New Europe, among many other media outlets, including the European Film
Academy’s online magazine, Close-up and Eurimages. She is a member of the European Film
Academy, the Online Film Critics Society and the Alliance of Women Film Journalists as well
as the recipient of the 2014 Best Critic Award at the Altcine Action! Film Festival. In
September 2016, she founded Yellow Bread, a magazine dedicated entirely to short films,
ranked among the 25 Top Short Film Blogs and Websites on the Planet in 2017, now rebranded
to Shorts & Firsts with a focus on short films and first features. In February 2018, she launched
Fade to Her, a magazine about successful women working in Film and TV and in 2019, she
was a member of the Jury of the European Shooting Stars (European Film Promotion). She is
currently a Live Action Shorts Programmer and Head of the Industry Program at PÖFF Shorts
and Head of the Short Film Program and Live Action Shorts Programmer at SEEFest.
Previously, she has also been the Narrative Features Programmer at the Durban International
Film Festival and a Narrative Features Screener for SXSW. Tara is a regular at film festivals
as a film critic, moderator and/or jury member.

My expertise primarily lies in directing impactful television commercials, alongside creating exceptional 3D animations, motion graphics, and visual effects (VFX). My work in these areas has been widely recognized and awarded, demonstrating a profound commitment to excellence in visual storytelling.

My role in directing commercials involves translating narratives into visually compelling pieces that resonate deeply with viewers. In the realm of 3D animation and motion graphics, I focus on producing content that is not only aesthetically striking but also technologically sophisticated. My proficiency in VFX allows me to craft visually intricate scenes that seamlessly blend imagination with reality.

Additionally, I serve as the principal visual mentor at KINOMENTOR.COM, a collaborative platform dedicated to the professional growth of filmmakers. This role complements my leadership at Keyframeworks, allowing me to extend my expertise to budding filmmakers, fostering an environment of learning and skill enhancement.
